Dance Vita Ballroom
Aira was born in Lithuania, in Kaunas city. When she was 6, Aira’s parents took her to a dance school, where she started dancing International Standard and Latin. After one year she was in love with dancing, and it became her life. At the age of 14, she started training in England with the best coaches in the world. She was very successful at an early age. The following titles are among her highest achievements as an Amateur: • World Youth Ballroom Champion 1997 • Under 21 Blackpool Ballroom Champion 1998 • Amateur World Cup Ballroom Champion 1998
Jurga was born in Kaunas, Lithuania. Jurga came from a family of gymnasts; she began taking Rhythmic Gymnastics at five years of age. Within a year, she was also enrolled in ballroom dancing lessons. With her first partner, she won First in International Latin dance in Lithuania, and Second in International Latin dance and Fifth in International Standard in the former Soviet Union in the 12-14 year old division. Similar successes soon followed, as Jurga grew older and worked with different partners. In 1994, Jurga enrolled in Klaipedos Art University. She recalls that this was a period of rapid growth in her life as a dancer. She studied to be a choreographer. Jurga also studied dance in the formation team “Zuvedra” for two years. While dancing with them, the team took Second place in the European and World championships.
Tomas was born in Kaunas, Lithuania. He started dancing International Standard and Latin when he was 8 years old. Although that was a decision made by Tomas’s family, eventually Tomas himself started to like dancing, especially after winning his first national title in the 14-16 year old age category. His other highest achievements as an Amateur are: • 4 time Lithuanian Amateur Ballroom Champion • 2 time Lithuanian Amateur 10 dance Champion • 1st place in IDSF World ranking list Tomas has been teaching dance since 1992, and has trained numerous couples who have gone on to become Juvenile & Youth World Champions. He graduated from the Lithuanian Physical Culture Institute (now Lithuanian Academy of Physical Education) in 1995, where he became a professional DanceSport teacher. From 1999 through 2000, Tomas toured the United States, Europe, and Australia as a member of the world renowned dance show Burn the Floor.

Anna joined Dance Vita team since 2013. She has experience with Ballet since young age and now exploring other styles in Ballroom. Anna once said: "I hope people who come and learn at Dance Vita will eventually become part of the dance community and a member our family."
When not working her full-time job in customer service, Tiana serves as one of Dance Vita's weekend receptionists. She enjoys listening to a wide variety of music, watching movies and spending time with friends. She also spends her extra time as a student of bellydance.
Marija joined our team in 2017. Being very passionate about theater, dance and management, she merged her passions into one position at Dance Vita. Marija has dance pedagogy diploma straight from Lithuania, finished supervision and management studies in San Francisco, did several internships in various dance theaters and has organized different events around Bay Area with the Lithuanian Community for the past three years of her term on the board.
Li recently joined the Dance Vita team in 2018 as a receptionist. Li is an fitness enthusiast - she can be found working out at the gym regularly or hiking the outdoors. Since working at Dance Vita, she has also been exploring a newfound passion: learning how to dance.
Anastasiya was born in Ukraine and lived there until she was 18. She was a 7-time Ukrainian National champion and she represented Ukraine 3 times at the World Championships. Her best result was 7th place at the Latin World Championship in China out of the 80 best couples of the world in Youth. At the age of 19 she moved to the U.S., and became a United States Latin and Standard National finalist and 3rd place in United States in 10 dances. She represented the U.S. at the World Championships in both styles. #InternationalStandard #InternationalLatin
Danya specializes in the competitive International Latin and Ballroom styles of dance. He is currently in the US final in both styles and and in ten-dance as well. He was one of two couples chosen to represent the US at the Ballroom World Champonship in China and the Latin World Championship in Austria in 2017. #InternationalStandard #InternationalLatin
Maria was born in Krasnodar, Russia. Maria has over 20 years of Professional International Ballroom Dance background. In 2014 she won her title of the World Chachacha Champion. Maria's life mission is to keep sharing her inspiration and light with people, introducing them to the World of Dance. Maria became US National Champion in Senior1 Standard this year. Maria and her partner Yuliy Sannikov will be representing Dance Vita at the biggest Championship in the World - Blackpool Dance Festival and at the Worlds in Paris. #Salsa #Bachata #InternationalStandard #InternationalLatin #Smooth
Stacey is a nationally ranked Latin dancer with extensive competition experience. Dancing since the age of 12, Stacey has been actively competing at the adult Amateur level in the U.S. and most recently was ranked in the top 17 for Amateur Latin USA. Some of her notable competitive accomplishments include placing top 2 at the 2016 Vegas Open Dance Challenge, top 4 at the 2016 City Lights Ball DanceSport Championships, and top 5 for the 2015 Emerald Ball DanceSport Championships. In addition to the 12+ years of dancing experience, Stacey is also a seasoned instructor with 9+ years of coaching experience. At age 18, she coached and spearheaded the competitive Latin Dancesport Team for San Jose State University, and at age 21, Stacey was recruited to become a coach for the Stanford University competitive team. Stacey’s dedication to dance led her to also pursue an education in physical therapy. From this, Stacey has developed a unique coaching methodology which combines athletic training with physical therapy that helps prevent many of the common dancing injuries. Stacey loves sharing her passion for dance, and helping her students reach their personal achievements has been her greatest joy. #InternationalLatin
Michelle Yiu has been dancing since she was 4 years old. Trained in both Ballroom and Latin, she has competed both nationally and internationally, earning titles such as USA Dance/NDCA National Ballroom Youth Champion, WDSF/WDC Junior II World Finalist, and Junior Blackpool Finalist. A member of the USA World Team, she has represented America in world championships nine times. Now specializing in Ballroom competitively, she is able to teach dancers of all levels and is excited to share her love of dance with all dancers. #InternationalLatin #InternationalStandard
Artur Nabok has been dancing since he was 5 years old. Trained in both Ballroom and Latin and having experience dancing in international competitions, he has won numerous competitions in Ukraine from the juvenile to the youth II levels. Now representing USA, he has already won several competitions at the amateur adult level and is excited to continue pursuing his dance career here. Clayton is a Pro-Rhythm competitor with 8 years of professional dance training behind him. When competing in Latin, he made the finals in under 21 division of nationals. That being said, dance is ingrained deep in every fiber of his body. #InternationalLatin #Rhythm #Salsa #ArgentineTango
Carolyn has been teaching Salsa and American Style Ballroom and Nightclub dancing since 2005. Drawing on her years of experience and training as a professional dancer, she incorporates principles of technique, feel, and mood to help you dance your best. Carolyn has been competing in the Professional American Rhythm ballroom division (Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Bolero, Mambo) since 2013, and prior to that competed and performed at an international level with RicaSalsa Dance Company's pro team. She has won a number of competitions in both styles. #Salsa
Mike teaches a variety of styles including Wedding couples, International Latin: Chachacha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive, and International Standard: Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango. He started competitive ballroom dancing when he was 9 years old where he achieved multiple National titles, furthermore traveled all over the world to dance in WDSF and NDCA World Competitions where placed 19th. #InternationalLatin #InternationalStandard
Artem has been dancing since he was seven years old. 24 years and counting. He won many competitions in his home country Estonia as well as vice-champion title in the junior category. In the US he was a finalist of many championships as an amateur and last six years as a professional. At world professional championship of 2015 he reached top 30. Artem coaches in Dance Vita since it opened its doors on day 1 and helped raise many successful dancers and couples.
